SinOptiKom – Cross-sectoral optimization of transformation processes in municipal infrastructures in rural areas

Foreseeable climatic, demographic and economic structural developments will require far-reaching adaptations of municipal infrastructure to the point of long-term, dynamically implemented systemic transformation, especially in rural regions. These processes require research on innovative, optimized transformation strategies on a cross-sectoral basis. The overarching goal of the collaborative project is the development of a software-based optimization and decision-making model, in which possible future intelligent systemic structures can be analyzed and optimized strategies for spatial, technological and policy-related implementation can be derived in their concrete chronological sequence.

The decision-making model is to be applied and evaluated in various model communities and is to provide a contribution to the further development of sustainable, reliable and economically and ecologically efficient municipal infrastructures.
